Note: The application process consists of three separate steps. Step One is to submit application materials to UW Admissions. Step Two is to set up your UW Net ID. Step Three is to submit materials to the ECFS program. All three steps must be completed before your application can be reviewed. Please carefully read the directions for all these steps before starting your application. See the How to Apply section below.

Important Dates and Deadlines

A new program cohort starts every fall. Applications are accepted from March 1 to July 15. All completed applications received by this date will be given full consideration for that falls cohort. Admission offers will be mailed no later than the end of August.

Transferable Credits

In general, you should be able to transfer college-level academic credits for courses that fall within the UW Areas of Knowledge. Learn more on the UW Transfer Credit Policies page, including notable restrictions on transfer credit.

How to Apply

We recommend that you begin preparing your application early. All materials must be submitted on or before June 1.

If you have already completed or will complete a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university prior to enrolling at UW, select the ECFS O postbac option when you fill out the online application form.

Step One: Submit Materials to UW Admissions

In order to complete the application process for the ECFS degree completion program, you must first submit the following materials to UW Admissions:

Step Two: Create Your UW Net ID

After submitting your UW application form, you will be sent a link to create a UW NetID, typically within a few days. You will need this ID in order to complete Step Three of the application process.

Step Three: Submit Materials to the ECFS Program

You will need a UW NetID to complete Step Three (see Step Two).
